How do I use Upfront builder to create a theme for my website that I can manage using github?

I want to use Upfront Builder in a development environment. Our site used github for our repo and I would like to maintain the custom CSS changes that we make to our Upfront Builder theme in the repo.

Is this possible? Is there documentation or tutorials on how to integrate Upfront Builder into a versioned environment?

    Hey there wowlookart,

hope you’re doing good and thanks for reaching us!

All changes you’re making in Upfront Builder, are actually saved in files as UF Builder is a plugin which extends Upfront in order to create new child themes (moveable UF child-themes across different installations) or even change the file-base of older UF child themes.

If you want to track these changes, you can simply create a new git repo with this child theme and push latest version after changes made via UF Builder.

In case you want to track differences in changes made via the default Upfront Editor (not the Builder plugin) this may be trickier as all changes of UF Editor are site-specific and being stored in database instead of files. For that, a frequent DB backup procedure (you can take a look at Snapshot for that) is what can easily be done.

Hope that was some help, feel free to post back if more assistance is required!

    Warm regards,
