How do you get a list of blog entries

I would like a list of blog entries on the Showcase theme, similar to what is available in the Sleek Photo Demo. I like the front page, but there appears to be nothing OOTB that allows me to get a listing.

( http://themetastic.com/wordpress/?page_id=15 ) is the type of list I’m referring to.

The Showcase Theme has a “blog” page in it, but is blank.

Any help would be appreciated.

    I don’t think it is quite that easy. I have tried that, several different ways (all afternoon). :wink: Thanks for the advice though.

    The interesting thing to me is that the archives and category listings do what I want, but not for the most recent.

    I’m looking at that code right now . . .

    Update:

    I created a page template, and assigned it to a page called blog

    Here is the code for the page:

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: blog list
    */

    /**
    * The template for displaying Archive pages.
    *
    * Used to display archive-type pages if nothing more specific matches a query.
    * For example, puts together date-based pages if no date.php file exists.
    *
    * Learn more: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy
    *
    * @package WordPress
    * @subpackage Showcase
    * @since Showcase 1.0
    */

    get_header(); ?>

    <div id="container">
    <div id="content" role="main">

    <?php
    $args = array( 'numberposts' => -1, 'post_status' => 'publish', 'order'=> 'DESC', 'orderby' => 'date' );
    $postslist = get_posts( $args );

    foreach ($postslist as $post) : setup_postdata($post); ?>
    <div>
    <hr>
    <h1><?php the_title(); ?> </h1>
    <br>
    <small><i>
    <?php the_date(); ?>
    </small></i>
    <br>
    <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>
    <br>
    <?php the_excerpt(); ?>
    </div>
    <?php endforeach; ?>
    <hr>
    <div ><p><?php posts_nav_link(); ?></p></div>

    </div><!-- #content -->
    </div><!-- #container -->

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    It works – shows all published posts, but I would like to add pagination. I have tried using wp-pagination plugin, and several snipets found on wordpress.org, with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you
