How does the "In This Text Domain" feature work?

I've tried 10 ways past Sunday to only apply changes to a specific domain on my site. Cannot figure it out.

    Hey Golftourney,

    Hope you're doing well today!

The text domain actually refers to the text domain of the string. Each language file for a plugin or theme will have it's own text domain. This is to ensure that when you translate something, it translate the words only in that file and not across your entire site.

For example, Appointments+ text domain is 'appointments', so just an as example, if you wanted to change the text "appointments" within the plugin but not anywhere else on your site then you would make sure you added the 'appointments' text domain so it would limit where it translates.

Is the text you're trying to change in a plugin that is only on that one site? Then we can still use the text domain.

Or if you're only using Ultimate Branding for the network wide text change then you can activate it site by site instead of network wide - that will allow you to make changes on a site by site basis.

Hope this helps golftourney! Let us know if you have any further questions here.

    All the best,
    Tyler
