How Does Upfront Builder Handle Content if Theme is Changed?

Beaver Builder will automagically revert content to a "native" state without short-codes, etc. if the builder is disabled. This ensures a page's content is always pure should someone change their mind about leveraging the builder.

Presently DIVI makes a mess of a site with all manner of shortcodes. And if you disable DIVI all the edited content is lost.

So... how does Upfront Builder handle content if disabled? Will it be riddled with short-code or will it render a "clean & sanitized" version of the content?

    Hi johnol,

Hope you are doing good today.

Upfront doesn't work makes use of any inbuilt shortcode, how the framework works is by using it's unique Drag & Drop API. However, all the design changes made through Upfront ie using Image, Gallery, Slider elements etc, will not be available if you switch to a non-upfront theme.

All the contents created through the default WordPress editor, ie through Pages > Add New, Posts > Add New will all remain intact, and clean if you switch from Upfront theme to a non-Upfront theme.

Upfront Builder is a plugin which is used to develop theme from scratch, if you are only looking to edit/make customization to our existing themes (for eg Fixer), you would only have to make use of Upfront Editor.
