How to add a sign up button on home page for a multisite set up and Anti-Splog

Hi

We are setting up a multisite network using the pro site plugin and anti splog, just wondering is there a way to add a sign up button on our home page whilst using the anti splog plugin that changes the signup url every 24hrs.

If so any help here would be great.

and examples of how to do it.

Thanks

    Hey Jamie.

If you pop over to the admin are of Anti Splog:

Admin --> Network Admin --> Anti Splog --> Settings

    /wp-admin/network/settings.php?page=ust&tab=settings

You will see the option for changing the signup form and some instructions:

To use this you may need to make some slight edits to your main theme's template files. Replace any hardcoded links to wp-signup.php with this function: <?php ust_wpsignup_url(); ?> Within post or page content you can insert the [ust_wpsignup_url] shortcode, usually in the href of a link. See the install.txt file for more detailed documentation on this function.

So if we imagine you created an image button then we could have something like:

    <a href="<?php ust_wpsignup_url(); ?>" title="Sign up"><img src="http://IMAGE-LINK" alt="Signup Button" /></a>

You would need to test this in your theme and see where you want, make sure it works. I haven't personally tested it.

    Take care.

I says in the anti splog section in wordpress admin about changing some hardcode for wp-signup.php in your theme files and says refer to install.txt for more information.

However the documents i have read dont mention what theme files i may have to change?

    Thanks

    install.txt for more information

Seems that is no longer in the package, but there is a readme.txt. It doesn't cover much about wp-signup though.

However the documents i have read dont mention what theme files i may have to change?

Well each theme is different. It depends on where it makes references to signing up. So you need to find in your theme where those signup links are used if the point direct to the file.

    Thanks.
