How to add Custom CSS for Event+ Plugin

What is the best method to modify the calendar styling for the Events + plugin without loosing anything when updates happen. I've attempted to add custom styles to Genesis child theme; however even with spamming '!important' the default still override. Link below is the page I'm talking about.

Thanks!

    Hello Evan,

    I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

    There are two ways to add your own styles to the plugin's page. The simplest one would be to use the "Simple Custom CSS" plugin which you can freely download from here:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

    It allows you adding your own styles via "Appearance -> Custom CSS" box and these changes will survive theme updates and changes.

    Another solution would be to add styles (or modify existing) via a child theme but I understand you're aware of this and you did try this already.

    As for overriding default styles. In case of additional styles using "!important" often turns out to be necessary, although I agree with your term "spamming" :slight_smile: However, I'm not aware of the code you used and this makes it a bit difficult to solve. For example, I've just changed background of current day in a calendar on your site to red:

    .eab-monthly_calendar .today {background:#FF0000;}

    This worked fine for me in a browser but you may need to ad aforementioned "!important" flag. That said, would you please give Simple Custom CSS plugin a try? If it doesn't work for you, could you please share the code you used for calendar styling with me and also grant me a support access to your site so I could take a closer look?

    You may do so by following this guide:
