How to catch messages from e-mail and pull them to wp-admin

Hi there.

We have installed Support System in WPMU, but when people reply directly on the e-mail, we don't see messages on WP-Admin Support.

Is there a way we can pull messages from e-mail?

Thanks for your help!

    Hello Urbano,

I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

The Support System plugin can't fetch content from e-mails "out of the box". The messages that are sent are notifications only so the default case scenario is:

    - user opens a ticket
    - ticket is responded
    - a message is sent (e.g. containing a link to a tickets/response)
    - user visits ticket on the site

The solution here would be to create a custom code. I think a plugin such as "MailCWP" could be used as a base. It is a full-featured e-mail client for WordPress so it could be set to fetch e-mails from given account. You'd need to use that e-mail address as a "Support from e-mail" in "Support System" settings.

Next step would be to create some filter in an inbox to filter incoming messages to easily find out "support system replies" and e.g. automatically delete all other messages incoming to that address.

Then MailCWP could fetch those mails. Last part is to hook to MailCWP (or other e-mail client plugin) code and that's where the custom solution would be necessary as it would need to parse those fetched e-mails, assign them to support tickets and add to database. This however is beyond the scope of this support forum so you may want to ask for a custom development on our "Jobs & Pros" job board (please note: no WPMU DEV staff involved!) here:

    Best regards,
