# How to chance the "lasts approx" in confirmation form

I have two services . One is for 1 hour and the other is for 2 hours .
When making a booking I want the " lasts approx " to be 50 minutes and 90 minutes. Is it possible to do?

Hi charles,

Hope you're well?

Service 1 = 50 mins
Service 2 = 90 mins

Setting the padding after time to be 10 mins for service 1 & 30 mins for service 2.

(You may need to change your time base to 10 mins to get the 50 mins and 90 mins times)

That should then hopefully do what you ask.

Hope this helps

That works but changing the time base to 10 mins makes makes my calendar really long . There is no other option ?

Hi charles,

Ok, This can still be done :slight_smile:

Make sure that the time base is 10 mins still.

Now in Calculus section in the general settings tab, select service based duration.

Once you do this, you will notice now that the calendar for service 1 increments by 1hr.

However, if you choose service 2, you will see the calendar displays in increments of 2hrs. so you then have the problem say that nobody could book 10am slot, but they can book 9am & 11am

If that's ok with you, it's fine. However, if you still want the calendar to display in 1hr increments so people can book the 10am slot for service 2 for example, you can add the following to your theme functions.php

``````add_filter('app-timetable-step_increment', 'wpmudev_apps_cal_inc');
function wpmudev_apps_cal_inc() {
return 3600;
}``````
That should then make the calendar increment in 1hr intervals.
Hope this helps
Great Thanks :slight_smile: Im going to ask a friend to implemant solution 2.
I also have to use solution 1 ?
• Vaughan
Hi,
Yes, you'll still need to do what you did before, with the 10 min time base & padding times etc. Then enable the durations add-on and set it to service based duration.
The only extra thing you need to do is add that function to the theme functions.php & you'll be good to go :slight_smile:
Hope this helps
Hi,
If I understand it correctly, it should be fine if you use the function in your theme as that overrides the actual calendar increments, so it will always be in 1hr increments. so that should work fine for the other thread query too.
If it doesn't just let us know & we'll see what else we can do.
Hope this helps
Thank you for your patience. I am impressed by your feedback , even if it is a bit stressful for me :slight_smile:
• Charles
It works :slight_smile:
Your code for functions.php was however placed in another file . The programmer felt that functions.php was an inappropriate place.
Thank you
• Charles
Sorry . Everything is just a big chaos.
It did not work out . Functions.php was added to the Child them . I Do not know if this i way the calender is not working correctly.
I think that this led to a new problem.. See link Your Support Service tried to solve this only resulted in further problems
We wait for a while. I have asked a programmer to look at this . I'll be back.
