How to configure plugins for WPMU

I want to build a a similar website like the post https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/how-to-build-a-network-like-edublogs-with-custom-post-types

The problem is I am not sure how to configure all the mentioned plugins in the post. As I am new, I may have some silly questions, sorry for that.
What I want to build is:
1. any user can register an account and have their own blog from the main website. During registration, they could choose a group which contains specific theme/plugins and default menu and pages. How to do that?
2. After that, when they access the father domain, they can login from there, and access their own blog website. How to do that?
3. They can only use front-end tools to write/modify their posts. Backend admin tools are forbidden unless they pay to raise their group level. How to do that?

4. I played with some plugins installed, but they are in English. How can I translate them into Chinese? At least users can only see Chinese during the login/registration. I think I can do the translation, just don't know how and which files I should translate.

Thanks in advance!

    Hello Yudong,

I hope you are having a good day and thanks for asking us.

Let's take down your questions one.

    1. any user can register an account and have their own blog from the main website. During registration, they could choose a group which contains specific theme/plugins and default menu and pages. How to do that?

This is where our New Blog Templates comes in action. Our New Blog Template Plugin lets you create a catalog of site templates dramatically improving productivity. And that you can inject in user's registration form. That means at the time of registration user will be able to chose which collection of group of themes and plugin ( in short site template ).

    2. After that, when they access the father domain, they can login from there, and access their own blog website. How to do that?

This is default flow, when user registers for new site for the first time, mu system creates that site as primary site of user, and list outs all other sites ( which user will crate later on if he/she wants ) in its primary site's menu Dashbaord > My Sites

Now if you want to go further and let your user map their own domain for their website, then you may want to take our this plugin in account too.

    3. They can only use front-end tools to write/modify their posts. Backend admin tools are forbidden unless they pay to raise their group level. How to do that?

Something like this is not possible as out of box and will require some good amount of custom work to be done, but with our Pro Sites plugin you will be able to offer different plugin upgrades ad premium plugins and themes. Have you thought about Pro Sites yet ? If not then please know more about it has potentials of becoming favorite plugin of mu network admins.

    4. I played with some plugins installed, but they are in English. How can I translate them into Chinese? At least users can only see Chinese during the login/registration. I think I can do the translation, just don't know how and which files I should translate.

Translation is very easy process once you get your hand on it. I suggest you start your journey with this article http://wplang.org/translate-theme-plugin/

Hope these information will help you to decide what to use and why. Ping me back here if you need anymore help with these stuff.
    Best Regards,

    Thanks Milan!

Can Pro Sites disable email confirmation during user registration? I'd like users can get access immediately after filling username, password and other information.
Is there a guide for New Blog templates, Pro Sites? In fact, they are the reason I become a member of WPMUDEV.

    Hi Yudong,

You can use our Set Password plugin that will add pasword field when creating new site and when user registeres via Pro Sites they will be able to use their site right away.

Is there a guide for New Blog templates, Pro Sites? In fact, they are the reason I become a member of WPMUDEV.

Each plugin has Usage page that gives you more insight in setting up the plugin:
    NBT - https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/new-blog-template/#product-usage
    Pro Sites - https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/pro-sites/#product-usage

After you activate NBT you can choose it's settings and it will be available on Pro Sites registration page.

If you get stuck on specific step let us know so we can assist you further

    Best regards,
    Predrag
