How To Dismiss a Branding Served Admin Message?

Team WPMU,

In my hunt for a decent onboarding method, I'm considering the Admin Message via Ultimate Branding. It allows for html, so in theory I can create clickable steps that will stay at the top of the admin area of the site as the member moves around and tours everything. Paired by Better Admin Pointers, it may do the trick.

There only seems to be one problem -- how to dismiss the admin notice? I don't see any method of clicking it out once someone is done with the onboarding tutorial. I don't want it to stick around forever, especially for long time users who no longer need it.

If I have to, I can probably craft it in such a way that it becomes a feature and place it via Admin Ads, but still...

An Alternative would be to build it into the admin menu as some kind of a roadmap feature using Admin Editor Pro -- but, I would like a less permanent option.

Another alternative is to put it into a widget in the admin area, but then it wouldn't be visible on all page as the member progesses.

Any ideas?

    Hi Rob

Hope you had a wonderful day.

Yeah, you are right. I don't see any closing button for the message. I really like the idea of having a close button. So I'm moving your thread to our Features and Feedback section. More people liking the idea, more chances our developers will work on this and will include this feature in our future releases.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!

    Thanks, Rupok.

Again,as I often say, don't wait for the +1. It's a good improvement, just do it. Waiting for +1's on a niche plugin here just means it will never get done.

    Make this plugin worth having.

And, while we're at it, being able to segment admin messages by Pro Site level would be a great improvement. Being able to Target sites by active theme or plugins would be even more so.

Don't wait for the +1. Go with common sense and managerial authority.
