How to keep sploggers out? We use antisplogger plugin now, but?

Hi, we have the antisplogger plugin running. That seems to keep out most of the bots.

However, the manual sploggers are getting to us.
It would appear they are manually setting up sites and then doing their thing.

We don't have manual approval active on the site. So, we are not manually approving each new site. Because all they do then is make a good sounding site and then splog it after approval anyway.

What are your best methods or suggestions for dealing with this issue?

Thank you, Patrick

Hey @Enfusia, hope you're doing well today!

Hmm... aside from possibly adjusting the "Posting Splog Certainty" to be a bit more sensitive (so that their blogs are marked as splogs depending on the post content), another thought would be to adjust the value for "Limit Blog Signups Per Day", changing that from Unlimited, to 1 or 2.

That would allow you to limit the number of blogs that can be created in 24 hours from the same IP address (which if these manual signups come from a single IP address, that could help cut down on those).

For the rest of them that come through, they would need to be dealt with manually. Hopefully though, with adjusting the settings, you won't have to do that much (if at all).

    Hope this helps!
