How to Remove Default Navigation Items (activity, members, etc.)

Thanks for the great BlogsMU theme!

How do I remove the default tabs in the header navigation (activity, members, groups, forum, blogs)?

Thanks again!

    First off, welcome to WPMU DEV!

    For those links to show up you're probably running with BuddyPress.

    These are pretty standard links, but if you're sure you don't want them to show at all you'll have to make some manual edits.

    Open up navigation.php and remove or comment out lines 72-98.
    First line should be:
    <?php if ( 'activity' != bp_dtheme_page_on_front() && bp_is_active( 'activity' ) ) : ?>

    Last line should be:
    <?php endif; ?>

    That will completely remove those BuddyPress pages.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks, and again, welcome! :smiley:

    Hey masonjames!

    Thanks for your reply. I will implement.

    Also, I don't know if you remember but we live chatted last week. Turns out, I was able to convert my client to a member and now I'm developing their WPMU BuddyPress site. Just thanking you again for being a great help.

    Glad to be a help, and definitely glad to see ya on the forums! :smiley:

    If you refer to my post above, you'll need to remove everything on lines 72-98. Sometimes the line numbers can be different so the 2 lines of code I gave you represent the first and last lines of the section to remove. You shouldn't add anything to this file - just remove.

    Try that and you should be good to go.

    Let me know if you have any trouble with this, and again, welcome!
