How to remove these certain objects from my site design?

Hi,

You'd think I would know how to do this by now, but I can't seem to get it right. If you examine my test site, testadmin.citiera.com, you can see an Ad and the users username, date, and comments off. I found that the div classes for it are article-meta and then article-body, and I changed the CSS properties to display:none; but it still displays. This is a child theme, and I have about 6 child themes that need the same done on each. There is the parent theme installed. Do I make the changes on the child themes or on the parent theme?

    Hello Blake,

    I hope you are well today.

    I checked out your site, but was unable to see what you are referring to.

    Yes, you would need to make these changes to your child themes. However, if this is something that you want to be removed on every theme you run on your site, you could just do a mu-plugin like what I’ve attached to this post. Simply upload the extracted php file to your wp-content/mu-plugins/ folder and modify it to suit your needs.

    If you would rather add the code to your theme files individually, here’s the code in the file:

    <?php
    // Add scripts to wp_footer()
    function my_child_theme_footer_script() { ?>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    jQuery(".article-meta").remove();
    </script>
    <?php }
    add_action( 'wp_footer', 'my_child_theme_footer_script' );
    ?>

    I hope this helps! :slight_smile:

    Best regards,

    James Morris
