How to set a background image opacity for a section?

I have uploaded an image as a background section and I would like to set an opacity for it. Is it possible without css using Upfront? If no, what is the css code to do that? Thank you!

Hi diegpl, hope you had a wonderful day.

For changing background opacity, you will need two different divs under your main div. One will contain the background, and another will contain the content. But in Upfront, background image is set with main div. If you set opacity for that main div with CSS, all content will be transparent.

So a very easy workaround will be opening your background image in any popular image editor software like Adobe Photoshop, and make the image transparent. You can get idea how you can do that in photoshop from this tutorial: http://www.wikihow.com/Adjust-Opacity-in-Adobe-Photoshop

Then save that transparent picture as png file, upload on your server and use as a background. That will serve your purpose.

Please let us know if you have any feedback on this. We will be glad to help if anything is required from our end.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!
