HTACCESS File Duplicate Entries

Hello,

WP 4.7 multisite network

I noticed today that our htaccess file had been edited and it appears to have duplicate entries in it, but I am not an htaccess guru, sooooooooo should I eliminate duplicate entries?

If so, does it matter if the earlier or later entry in the file is deleted?

    Hello SooBahkDo,

Those entries look similar, but if you take a look each of them has different ending after

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/[0-9]+\..+\.cpaneldcv$
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/[A-F0-9]{32}\.txt(?:\ Comodo\ DCV)?$

So in fact they are not doing the same thing. I would not recommend removing them at the moment.
Because I'm not expert on htaccess I will send message to our Second Line Support expert to ask what exactly are they doing. As soon I'll get feedback I'll update that thread.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
