HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error)

wordpress HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

Any idea?

    thanks for posting.

    a 500 error is pretty much 1 of the most common & useless error messages. bit like the windows blue screen of death.

    however it usually means something has gone wrong with a script.

    did you do anything before this happened? installed a plugin, theme, or edited a template etc?

    as much info as you can give us as to what lead up to the error as possible. could you check on the server if there's an error log at all?

    Hi, thanks for replying. I don't know exactly! I have an installation of wordpress MU 3.5.1.
    When the problem happens, I just wait a few seconds, and everything returns to normal. I have updated all my plugins, etc.. and the problem persists!

    I found some blogs sugesting that may be Fast Secure Contact Form plugin.

    Have you tried deactivating them one by one? I know its a pain in the ass but it really is such a good way to find out what's causing problems. Same goes for themes.

    Also another recommendation with 500 errors is to double check your php memory, I always run my installs minimum 64mb but on Multiste site minimum 256mb (im sure you can run with less but I wouldnt bother, too many errors)
