http://wpmudev.org/project/Multi-Site-Manager

I noticed that Multi Site Manager is no longer available.

What i need is to be able to classify n group my sites/members. (Sites is mostly the focus here)

For example i have 10 sites

Apple1

Apple2

Apple3

Apple4

Apple5

Orange1

Orange2

Pear1

Peach1

Grape1

I wanna group them into apple, orange, pear, peach, grape respectively.

Meaning the settings i set for apple will only apply for apple, and orange will have a different set of settings.

Also I use marketpress, is it possible to charge different % for each of them?

Eg. (Apple 10%, Orange 20%)

Hello Teck Chai and welcome to WPMUDEV,

I noticed that Multi Site Manager is no longer available.

NOT the end of the world.

Did you have a look at our very own Multi Domains plugin? I think it is exactly what you need and will fulfill your needs.

You could also have a look to some complimentary (in your case) plugins like: Simple Site-maps for Multisite and Domain Mapping.

Please let us know if you need further assistance. We are here to help.

    Thank you for your time,

    marikamitsos.

    Hello Teck,

    Welcome to the forum.

Using Multi Domains is an option, but I guess that is not exactly what you need. You want to be able to do that with the same domain, but just group sites into categories right?

Well, if this is before you create those sites, you can use the New Blog Templates plugin: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/new-blog-template

Create an Orange Template, an Apple Template and so on, and then use that at sign-up.

I did some searching around and currently there are not plugins doing it otherwise I think. But hey, I think this could be a handy idea. Why dont you go ahead and post this as a plugin suggestion?

Create on here on uservoice: http://wpmudev.uservoice.com/forums/148158-wpmu-dev-development-and-feature-requests

and then post the link and some description in the feature request forum: https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/forum/feature-suggestions

I totally understand where you guys are coming from when you suggested using simple site map n domain mapping.

But if that is the case, i will be creating multiple subdomain right? ie.

    apple.website.com/apple1

    apple.website.com/apple2

    orange.website.com/orange1

This essentially allows me to do what I want. But it would also mean there are 3 different wordpress installs. That is not what I want, I want it to be under ONE network. will consider that as last resort.

In any case, I have already suggested in the new development forum.

    Thanks for the support guys!!!

This is NOT how Multi Domains work. From the plugin’s page:

Easily allow users to create new sites (blogs) at multiple different domains – using one install of WordPress Multisite you can support blogs at name.domain1.com, name.domain2.com etc. etc.

So there is no need for you to have multiple installs.

    Hope that helps,

Please post the link for the feature request so we can probably +1 that.
