Hummingbird causing Fatal Error

I'm running into a problem with Hummingbird, I got a 500 error when logging in to the admin panel.
I shut down 2 plugins that I found in the error logs, but then hummingbird showed up as a third, with this line
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method WP_Hummingbird_Utils::can_execute_php() in ***/wp-content/plugins/wp-hummingbird/admin/class-admin.php:136

I have automate installed on this environment. I have it fixed for now by deleting hummingbird in FTP, but id like a permanent fix of course.
