Hummingbird causing issues

Hi there,

Three of my sites have now Hummingbird deactivated as it has many issues that conflict with the most up-to-date templates and other plugins. In addition just now I received a security notification as the installation on this particular site has a malware attached to it:

*Malware found on javascript file: http://cambridgeprivatewealth.com.au/wp-content/uploads/wp-hummingbird-cache/a54f4f6be8d647f421f98ef26ce93e20.js
Known javascript malware. Details: http://labs.sucuri.net/db/malware/mwjs-packer-runforest3?v1

I'm getting the malware removed, but it would be great if you could update/investigate the issues as having hummingbird for my sites is one of the main reasons for me to have and pay my wpmu membership.
Thanks

    Hello Rubi,

Three of my sites have now Hummingbird deactivated as it has many issues that conflict with the most up-to-date templates and other plugins.

What type of issues? Could you provide more information? Is it related to minification?
If enabled minification in Hummingbird and that caused that some elements stopped working that is because Minification is not feature that could be just enabled - careful configuration is required. Not every theme and plugin plays nicely when its JS files are "touched" - by that I mean minified, combined and moved. And Minification can do that.
So next step is to disable minification, combination and move files to original position

After that your site should start working correctly. And from that point you can start enabling again those options for each file - and see if that causes problem with site. If you see that one file breaks site, revert changes for it and move to next file.

Each site is different - there is no one general configuration that would work for every site, so testing is required.

If this is not related to Minification would you mind allowing support access so we can have a closer look at this?
To enable support access you can follow this guide here:
    http://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-dev-dashboard-enabling-staff-login/

In addition just now I received a security notification as the installation on this particular site has a malware attached to it:

Hummingbird is not security plugin so if there is malware script on your site, HB is not going to recognize it as malware and will add it to all other files.
If you want more protection for your sites I can recommend using Defender plugin https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wp-defender/

    kind regards,
    Kasia
