[Hummingbird] Hummingbird with external CDN

Hello, is it possible to use Hummingbird with an ''external'' CDN provider like CDN77.com?

    Hello Jos

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

Hummingbird uses WPMU DEV CDN only to store optimized CSS/JS assets (and this can be disabled) and it works in a slightly different way than the regular CDN. While Hummingbird cannot be switched to use different CDN than WPMU DEV, it can work alongside it.

It does already provide integration option for CloudFlare so that’d be recommended (even a free plan will do) but if you want to use a different CDN than CloudFlare that shouldn’t be an issue either, provided that it’s a full-featured CDN that works on a DNS level “in front” of the site (just like CloudFlare does).

So, the short answer is: yes, it can’t “use” other CDN but it can work alongside it and it should be fine.

    Best regards,

    Adam
