Hummingbird is keep reporting two images that needs to be compressed but Smush mentions that all images were smushed.

They are two full sized images, the option is enabled in the Smush setttings and the Super Smush option is enabled too.

    Hi Stephen,

Hope you are doing well today!

I have gone through the Hummingbird performance report and Smush configuration of your your site. The Performance Report shows two of the images needs compressing and also their filenames suggest that they should be the original full size images as there is no thumbnail sizes appended with their file name. By default, Smush compresses only image thumbnails and not the original full size images. You can also compress these images by enabling “Include my original full-size images” option in Smush settings and then bulk smush once again all images.

The report also tells about compressing and resizing other two images. This actually suggests the images are scaled down in your content compared to the actual file dimensions, this means that in your page the theme is loading a larger image and then being displayed smaller using CSS. Please check the attachment.

You can crop or scale those images using the WordPress image editor to match the embedded size in your content. If this image is used somewhere else, like a single post, with a higher resolution, we can’t just resize the initial image, as this will shrink it in single post. In this case, the template part of homepage should be changed to fetch a smaller thumbnail instead.

    Hope this helps.

Please let us know if you need any further help.

    Cheers,
