[Hummingbird Pro] Blog Post Images and Logo not loading since installing WPMUDEV and Smush Pro

I installed Hummingbird Pro and Smush Pro a couple of days ago. This morning, my blog post images and logo are not loading or showing up on my site. What is the conflict and how do I repair this. I thought the plugins would make optimizing my site easier, not harder. Please advise.

    Hi Kris,

Thank you for your reply. I have granted backend access to the site. I appreciate you taking a look at what may be causing the issue. The images were there last night, but disappeared this morning.

    Best Regards,

    Hello Elaine

Yes, I can see the issue. For some reasons, those images are not being served via CDN. It may also happen due to a plugin conflict.

Would you please proceed a conflict test? Please deactivate all plugins except Smush Pro and check if the problem gone. If so, then enable all plugins one by one and find which one is having conflict. You need to do the same with themes as well.

You can find the flowchart here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#initial-troubleshooting

If the issue stays with all plugins disabled, then please let us know, keep the support access enabled and disable CDN for now.

Let us know how it goes.

    Cheers,

    Ash

    Hi Ash,

Thanks for your feedback. I have reached out to a Web Developer I use periodically and she is going to perform the conflict test. Unfortunately, it will not be until Monday so I will let you know what transpires after I hear from her.

On another note, I have installed WPMUDEV on another one of my websites https://kortkampgroup.com. I would like to make sure the plugin is set-up correctly so I don’t want to haphazardly change things. My site is running a bit slow (score 69/100). Do you provide a service for this or know of someone I may reach out to? If you do, what is your standard fee? I also have a third site – https://stoneandmetaljewelry.com, but I would like someone else (WPMUDEV Expert) to optimize it correctly to avoid any conflicts or other issues.

Thanks again for your help and assistance.

    Thanks,

    Elaine Kortkamp

    Hi Elaine,

Do you provide a service for this or know of someone I may reach out to? If you do, what is your standard fee? I also have a third site – https://stoneandmetaljewelry.com, but I would like someone else (WPMUDEV Expert) to optimize it correctly to avoid any conflicts or other issues.

I'm afraid, we don't provide such service, nor make configurations on the member's behalf. We would be happy to you guide you with steps, and instructions on how to perform. I'm afraid, it's something you'll have to perform on your website side.

When it comes to improving the page speed score most of the Hummingbird settings are out of the box configurations with enabling the options in a single click.

However, when it comes to Asset Optimization, it has two modes, Basic Mode, and Advanced mode which can be toggled as shown in the following screenshot:

The "Advanced Mode" configuration for Asset Optimization is meant for advanced users and used to further improve the page score when it comes to Render Blocking issues etc

The Advanced mode configuration is something entirely depends upon how your theme honours minification, and the steps would vary from one theme to another, there isn't any one-step solution in advance we could provide, and it's something you'll have to perform on your own to find the optimal configuration.

You can check these guides for more info on how to move forward with this:

If you have any queries with the above article or any have doubts please do feel free to open a new chat with us, and we'll make sure to help guide you with any steps which your developer could follow, and help with configuring the website.
