[Hummingbird] Slow response times on pingdom related to wpmudev

Hi, I have not had help with my last issue I logged as I believe it timed out. I will wait to see if you can get back to me on that one. In the interim I have a new issue. When I check https://tools.pingdom.com, I see a lot of slow responses coming from something pointing to https://hb.wpmucdn.com/www.thebusinessex and many of them, I assume this is you guys, what is this, why is it and how do I turn this off please? Thanks.

    Hi, Kjell!

Thanks for contacting us, hope you are doing great

Having links like https://hb.wpmucdn.com/ means that the WPMU DEV CDN is active (I checked your site and I confirmed that it is actually active). The WPMU DEV CDN loads CSS and JS file from your site via our CDN, which makes these files to be loaded faster. If you deactivate the WPMU DEV CDN from Hummingbird > Asset Optimization, the Pingdom scan should return the same files but using your domain URL.

Please, try disabling the WPMU DEV CDN on the site and check which CSS and JS files are listed by the Pingdom scan, and then try moving them into the footer via Asset Optimization to improve the score. You will need to have the Advanced Mode enabled under Asset Optimization:

Please, make sure to apply one change at a time and check each time that the front end is loading well after applying each change. Changes applied via this section should be done carefully since could have the potential to break the front-end of the site so, even though it may be time-consuming, it would be better to edit one CSS or JS file at a time, check the site and if it works well, move on to the next file; if it breaks, revert the changes applied to that file and skip to next one.

Please make sure to have a COMPLETE and UPDATED backup of the site before applying any change to the files via Asset Optimization.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Violeta
