    Hello there Linda

    Hope you’re doing well!

As I just mentioned in that topic in wp.org forums, I’m still able to see the popup using Chrome:

In order to better troubleshoot this, could you please grant temporary support access via WPMUDEV Dashboard plugin? No need to share any WP admin credentials, just navigate in WP admin area under WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access page and click on the “grant support access” button.

You can find detailed information about it here:

Please do reply back here when access is granted because we don’t get any notifications about it.

    Thank you,

    Hello Linda

    I hope you’re well today!

I was actually able to see the issue on your site where the link does show up but clicking on it only “jumps” the page up and adds the # character to its address. This happens because of some JS getting broken.

Since you enabled support access, I was able to check the site and I think it’s related to some “over-optimization” of the resources. I can see that you are using Divi theme with it’s JS and CSS minification options enabled but in addition to it there’s also “Autoptimize” plugin running (with HTML/CSS/JS optimization and caching enabled) and WP Fastest cache which is not only caching assets but has HTML/CSS/JS optimization option enabled as well.

This is a bit of “overkill”, I’m afraid, and it might be causing multiple unexpected and difficult to diagnose issues. I believe this is a live site so I didn’t make any changes to it (not having explicit permission) but I’d suggest trying this first:

    – clear Autoptimize cache and disable the plugin entirely

    – disable all HTML/JS/CSS optimization options in WP Fastest Cache, then clear WP Fastest Cache and temporarily disable cache (no need to disable entire plugin – just caching option)

Then clear browser cache or use incognito mode and see if the popup works. If yes, try only enabling either Autoptimize back or better only WP Fastest Cache, clear all caches again and see if it’s still working.

Let us know about results and we’ll then see what could be done next to fix that while making it possible to keep CSS/JS assets optimized and site cached.

    Best regards,

Hi Adam, thank you for checking this for us.

We have previously tried disabling all the plugins active except the Hustle and Woocommerce and

turning to default theme (TwentyNineteen) – and this didn’t help.

    The problem still persisted.

The site is live but not connected from our main website, so you can cleared caches, turn off caching plugins and features again if needed so you can test.

    Thank you

    Hello there Linda

It’d be better if we had a staging site instead, so we could do a full conflict test and other tests without having to worry about the live installation.

Could it be possible to create such an environment for us? Meaning a complete and exact copy of this installation into another location/folder in the same server, using a separate database. Then provide some access details for it. As this is a public forum, you should send us your details through our safe contact form

    using this template:

    – (S)FTP credentials for file access (host/username/password/path of the website in question)

    – link back to this thread for reference (e.g. https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/example-topic)

    – any other relevant urls

Keep in mind the subject line as ensures that it gets assigned to me.
