I am having a hard time using the shortcodes in directory already given. I am not sure if I need to add or take away certain things to see the buttons etc i.e

[dr_listings_btn text="Listings" view="loggedin | loggedout | always"]

or

[dr_profile_btn view="loggedin | loggedout | always"]<img src="someimage.jpg" />Go to Profile[/dr_profile_btn]

Please help

    Greetings crem,

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue there with the Directory shortcodes.

I also see that you are using a version of Directory that is not yet mainstream and therefore I cannot comment much on those.

However, I do see what are meant to be switches i.e. | the pipe sign, you are using with several options. The "|" sign is showing that these are option and only one of them should be used i.e. [dr_listings_btn text="Listings" view="loggedin"]

However, to be absolutely sure and to get solid input on this new version I will see if I can get the lead developer @Arnold in here with his invaluable insight into this plugin for his advice/advise for us and confirm my perception of the pipe signs.

Though this may take a bit longer then a normal ticket, I will try to get him in here asap.

    Cheers, Joe

Ok so in hindsight this one thing are three separate options? what about .....

    [dr_profile_btn text="Go to Profile" view="loggedin | loggedout | always"]

    or

    [dr_profile_btn view="loggedin | loggedout | always"]<img src="someimage.jpg" />Go to Profile[/dr_profile_btn]

I understand the bar now now but what are the difference between the two? I also noticed that @aecnu posted a answer on another question stating how the make directory look like the demo given. I am still stumped about that. Hes said remove default from one folder to themes and I did but I am still not seeing the design from demo. I assumed it was because I do not have prosites activated but I get this fatal error when I try to activate.......

Fatal error: Call to undefined function switch_to_blog() in /home/crem/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pro-sites/pro-sites.php on line 196

    Greetings crem,

Yes they are three separate options.

In answer to your button question you would use always:

    [dr_profile_btn text="Go to Profile" view="always"]

This is a text item and not subject to an image.

You cannot activate Pro Sites on a single Word Press installation.

Concerning the theme, contained in the themes folder of the directory plugin is a folder called default which you want to place or upload into the /wp-content/themes/ folder.

Thank you for being a WPMU Dev Community Member!
