    Hello Ed,

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

The error suggest that there’s an SSL certificate applied to the site which is valid for the “websitewelcome.com” domain and its sub-domains. I think this error shows up only when you try to access the site using a mapped domain (which is not “websitewelcome.com”, is that correct?

The Domain Mapping plugin can force SSL connection but does not include/issue any SSL certificate. To be able to protect mapped domains with SSL you will want either to use a Multi-domain SSL certificate or (if your host supports that technically) install separate SSL certificates for your mapped domains.

This is not a bug in Domain Mapping but the way the SSL certification works. Due to the security reasons each certificate is valid only for specified domains that it was issued for and using it with any other domain is causing such an error.

If you have any further question on this, let me know please.

    Best regards,

    Adam
