I have just created a site i want my users to use

I have just created a site i want my users to use as a template however when I try to access its dashboard i get an error message on my browser it says: "The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."
Does anyone know what could be the problem as the main site works fine.
my .htaccess file is as below:
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /wordpress/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /wordpress/index.php [L]
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /wordpress/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $2 [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]
</IfModule>

# END WordPress

    Hey there @bonwell

    Welcome to the forums, glad to have you aboard!

    The first thing I would suggest is to remove the duplicate rules in your htaccess.

    Remove the last 3 lines in this part:

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wordpress/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /wordpress/index.php [L]
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wordpress/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

Thank NAME, for their help.

Let NAME know exactly why they deserved these points.

Gift a custom amount of points.
