Smush CDN

I just connected my website yesterday. I also connected the CDN. As soon as I connected the CDN my images are showing up as broken links. When I deactivate it, my images come back. How do I solve this?

    Hi Cindy

I double check our email box and spam folder as well, but I cannot see any message from you.
Could you send those data once again, or to be 100% use our chat to send them to any agent and share also this thread url. Thank to that we will be notify by them.

p.s. We apologize for the inconvenience but from what I test and check our form works ok and we get emails from any other members.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hi Cindy ,

Thanks for sharing the credentials. I could notice the issue on your website, could we know whether you have server-side cache other than W3TC cache plugin enabled in your server-side?

Such issues are quite common due to cache and can take up to 24 hours or more for the cache to get updated which in turn would make the Smush CDN work.

Could you please double-check with your hosting provider whether there are any server-side cache enabled, and if possible to temporarily disable the cache or clear the cache to see how the Smush CDN behaves once it’s purged.

Looking forward to your response so that we could check further if needed. Have a nice day ahead.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Cindy ,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Smush Pro has a new version update, ie v 3.3. Could you please purge all the W3TC cache and update the Smush Pro plugin, and then see whether the CDN works fine or not?

Since it’s a live site wasn’t sure whether you would be comfortable with us making the changes, please do take a backup before making an update, and let us know how that goes, so that we could check further if needed.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

Hi Nithin, I cleared the cache and updated the Smush Pro and WPMU Dev dashboard. Then I turned the CDN back on. The images still display as broken. I turned the CDN back off.

After I did the updates, our web developer got the email message below from WordPress. Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks. Cindy

    Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Smush Pro.

First, visit your website (https://www.giroudtree.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.giroudtree.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_fs_blog_admin=true) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

Hi Kris, I followed your instructions. I deactivated, deleted and then reinstalled Smush. I then tried to activate the cdn and images don’t display. I deactivated the cdn for now. What do you suggest we do next?

    Hi Cindy

After I enabled Smush CDN temporary for couple seconds I see all images gets same error:
Site not registered in the Hub.
I double check our system and I see we have couple similar reports about this.

As we got site and ftp access I escalate this case to our developers so they can take a closer look on this. We will post an update here as soon as more information is available. Thank you for your patience while we look into this further.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

FYI We just created a separate ticket because the Image Resize Detection tool is not working on my site either. I don’t know if the two are related but thought it might be useful for you to at least have the info.

    Hi Cindy

We apologize for the long delay.
I review task, which I created while ago for our developer, and I see there is some sort of issue with Stackpath which is our provider for CDN. I ping developers to check the status of this.

Thank you for your patience while we look into this further.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
