I own languagelearning.club. I want to add
sub-domains such as english.languagelearning.club; but I have read that
languagelearning.club/english will be more beneficial for SEO purposes. If I set up subdomains rather than subdirectories will I be able to auto redirect users from
english.languagelearning.club/xx to languagelearning.club/english/xx where
xx represents multiple values of pages/categories? Will it make any
difference if there are addresses such as ../xx/yy/zz? (category/page/post)
What advice can you offer, thanks very much.

Hello there @Freebird, I hope you're well today!

There's a lot of cunfusion and mis-information going around, s let's clear the horizon first.
Google's own Matt Cutts explains that it's exactly the same if you use subfolders or subdomains when it comes to SEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MswMYk05tk
So no need to redirect anything or do fancy stuff.... Just pick one or the other and for it.
As for the URL structure, hierarchical URLs are always better (as long as they are meaningful and have a real purpose).

    I hope that helps!
