I recently had a new wordpress site created where they created a custom theme.

When I do a search, the search results are delivered to the page BUT WITHOUT a clickable article header to take me to the page the results are for.

If I switch the theme back to a default theme like twenty eleven, the article headers all become clickable again.

Any idea why this would be?

    Hi @kmtharakan,

Sounds like the theme developer themed the search results, but did not wrap the headers in an anchor tag that is linked to the article's permalink.

See what happens if you temporarily remove "search.php" from the theme. It should try to fallback to a version based on the standard header and footer.

search.php isn't required. You can login with FTP and rename it to search.php.bak

This way you still keep a copy, but prevent it from being loaded as a template. Afterwards try the searching again to see if it makes a difference.
