I think I need to delete some old, large files. Is It Safe?

I formerly used a wordpress back up plugin which saved backup files on my site's shared servers. Now, my current back up program, Updraft, is unable to save these large old backup files, so I would like to delete them. I am still uncomfortable with deleting files that contain data which I don't fully understand. I have attached a screenshot of the large files which I no longer need. Are there any that I should not delete?

    Hi Jeff,
Hope you are doing good today!

I am sorry but I can't say for sure which backup files you need to keep and which one you need to delete.

Normally, for automatic backups, site owners only keep the latest three to five backups and delete the rest. But again it depends upon your website requirements.

Being on safe side, what you can do is download the backup files from shared server to our local computer and delete those backups from server later.

I also I recommend you to delete backups from plugins dashboard instead of going to folder directly via FTP or FileManager.

Take care and have a nice day

    Best Regards,
