I would like to use the YOAST SEO plugin with Q&A. The way

I would like to use the YOAST SEO plugin with Q&A. The way you guys have this plugin coded is really, really bad for SEO - I have no way of setting the title or description meta tags. Also, I have no way of setting individual pages as 'nofollow' for search engines. I don't necessarily want the tag/your-tag-here archive pages being indexed.

Right now I'm looking at the core.php file and see that you have re-written a few of the titles for a couple pages

/**
	 * Various wp_title manipulations.
	 */
	function wp_title( $title, $sep, $seplocation ) {
		global $wp_query, $bp;

		if ( is_qa_page( 'ask' ) ) {
			$new_title = __( 'Ask a question', QA_TEXTDOMAIN );
		}
		elseif ( is_qa_page( 'edit' ) ) {
			$post_type_obj = get_post_type_object( $wp_query->posts[0]->post_type );
			$new_title = $post_type_obj->labels->edit_item;
		}
		elseif ( is_qa_page( 'user' ) ) {
			$user = get_queried_object();
			// Don't modify title in Buddypress
			if ( !is_object( $bp ) )
				$new_title = sprintf( __( 'User: %s', QA_TEXTDOMAIN ), $user->display_name );
		}

		if ( isset( $new_title ) ) {
			$title = array( $new_title );

			if ( 'right' == $seplocation )
				array_push( $title, " $sep " );
			else
				array_unshift( $title, " $sep " );

			$title = implode( '', $title );
		}

		return $title;
	}

I've created a page in my wordpress admin called 'questions' and another called 'questions/ask' and I've tried to set the title, description but obviously that is not working.

Here is the code from the functions.php file in my theme:

`/**
* Various wp_title manipulations.
*/
function wp_title( $title, $sep, $seplocation ) {
global $wp_query, $bp;

if ( is_qa_page( 'ask' ) ) {
$new_title = __( 'Ask a question', QA_TEXTDOMAIN );
}
elseif ( is_qa_page( 'edit' ) ) {
$post_type_obj = get_post_type_object( $wp_query->posts[0]->post_type );
$new_title = $post_type_obj->labels->edit_item;
}
elseif ( is_qa_page( 'user' ) ) {
$user = get_queried_object();
// Don't modify title in Buddypress
if ( !is_object( $bp ) )
$new_title = sprintf( __( 'User: %s', QA_TEXTDOMAIN ), $user->display_name );
}

if ( isset( $new_title ) ) {
$title = array( $new_title );

if ( 'right' == $seplocation )
array_push( $title, " $sep " );
else
array_unshift( $title, " $sep " );

$title = implode( '', $title );
}

return $title;
}`

Would you be able to help me please. I really feel like in this day in age when SEO is readily understood - I don't see why this plugin is so limiting in that respect. I understand that it was originally coded a while ago, but I have the impression that you guys haven't done much to update or modernize it.
