I'm using

I’m using the Spirit theme and trying to install a SSL certificate through my hosting company. I have a number of insecure URLs when checking via http://www.whynopadlock.com. These are all js and css to do with the spirit theme. Some of these are to do with the Google search plugin which hopefully will go away if I delete that as I probably will not use.

Is this something that can be resolved easily or shall I look to use another theme?

    Hi Ian Perry,

    So sorry to hear the inconvenience you are having. I went to your site but I could not check the issue as your site is locked under a maintenance mode plugin.

    However, can you please confirm if you have your WordPress Address and Site Address URLs set with “https” in your “Dashboard > Settings > General” section? If yes and still having this issue, can you please install and activate this plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/

    I believe, this will resolve your issue.

    If it doesn’t, then I need to see the issue live and investigate further. In that case, would you mind allowing Support Access so we can have a closer look at this?

    To enable support access you can follow this guide here:

    Please let us know the result of using that plugin I mentioned and confirm here when you are done granting Support Access. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and resolving this issue as soon as possible.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!

    Thanks for your reply,

    I put the coming soon page up as I ended up deleting two files that were giving me the problem. This caused the theme to break. I’ll try deleting the theme and reinstalling then using the plugin you suggest. I’m not sure if these files will be completely lost though now. If so I’ll use another theme as it is a brand new site. It’s more important to get the ssl certificate working. Thanks

    Hello Ian,

    Which exact files are missing in your installation? I know that in some previous version of the Spirit path to no longer used images was not updated and they were throwing 404 error on some images, but thats fixed now.

    You can download from theme page https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/spirit/ theme and extract missing file if they are part of the theme and upload them with FTP to your server in exact same place they should be. Or reinstall theme again.

    Let me know if this works.

    kind regards,

    Hi Ian Perry,

    Thanks for asking. You can fix the alignment with the following custom CSS Code:

    .ucontact-label-over label {
    float: left;
    width: 20%;
    .ucontact-input {
    margin-bottom: 20px;
    width: 95%;
    .ucontact-label-over button {
    padding: 10px;

    You can use this custom CSS code in Upfront Global Theme CSS section. Please check the attached screenshot for reference.

    Please let us know if you have any further query. We will be glad to help.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!
