Images not showing

I hope you can help. I know it's not related to your services and products but I know you know and therefore the liberty. Also my request on the forums has been ignore to date.

Here's my story hope you can help.

I have installed a multi site on one of my previously "std" single install wordpress sites and am now having problems with images not showing.

My file upload url is
I have uploaded an image here but it's not available. Or

It exists and it does not exist.... It does not exist at the above url but when I click on edit image in the Media manager I can see it. The best way to explain is to look at the screenshot

1) Edit Image (visible)
2) Thumbnails of images (blank)

Thank you in advance MWMUDEV Team.

@Barry I think I did. I cannot find where I got the instructions. I think it was during the install. Here's what I have in the htaccess. May you can tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance  Johan

    # BEGIN WordPress<br />
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c><br />
    RewriteEngine On<br />
    RewriteBase /<br />
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]</p>
    <p># uploaded files<br />
    RewriteRule ^files/(.+) wp-includes/ms-files.php?file=$1 [L]</p>
    <p>RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]<br />
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d<br />
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]<br />
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]<br />
    <p># END WordPress

If I have a look at this htaccess then mine looks incorrect. I will make a backup and try this htaccess and report back.

I tried both and the second gives me a server error and the first "file not found"

    Hiya Johan,

The htaccess file you uploaded is correct (except for all the extra paragraph and break tags which are getting added by this forum's code editor for some reason).

Could be a server configuration issue. Have you spoken to your host provider about this?

Thank NAME, for their help.
