    Greetings PAFoster,

Sorry to hear that you are having this problem messing up your site, but it is easily fixed by FTPing into your site and deleting the problem plugin totally from the plugins folder.

Please advise how you make out in any event.

    Sorted thank you.

It’s probably not possible, maybe plugins are are ‘loaded’ before the site loads in full, but I would have hoped for an error box box in my dashboard?

“The ‘plugin name’ has been deactivated since is it only compatible with WordPress Multisite – please delete this plugin.”

I made a simple mistake, yet felt I had been severely penalised by having the site effectively shut down.

Also did the same thing again earlier! Though this time I installed a plugin that I had no intention of installing, since I had obviously clicked the wrong install button!

Oh well, at least I know how to sort it.

    Thanks for the help guys!
