installing plugins via ftp

I was able to isntall the Dashboard plugin. But installing individual plugins through the dashboard hasn’t been allowed. I can’t seem to get the plugins to install.

Because you are on the Trial membership, you cannot install our plugins via FTP. You will be able to download our products directly after the trial ends or you can Skip the Trial with the link on The Hub Account page.

I have a few questions for you to troubleshoot this further.

– Which plugins are you trying to install?

– Are you getting any error messages?

– Have you tried clearing cookies, history, browsing data, ETC?

I am trying to install the Autoblog plugin. I don't want to skip the trial because I need to see that at least Autoblog will work for me. But I can't recall the error message verbatim, but it's basically something like the install failed it wasn't able to add it. Something like that. Here's an image of what it looks like when i attempt to install it. I have a coworker I think who uses some FTP client to install our plugins for this particular site. So, he installed the dashboard. But we're prompted now to install the plugins through the dashboard and it seems to be creating some issue.

I have received your sites details and have found the problem. Your installation of WordPress requires access to FTP to install plugins and themes, could you please add these lines to your /wp-config.php?
```
define( 'FTP_USER', 'your FTP username' );

define( 'FTP_PASS', 'your FTP password' );

define( 'FTP_HOST', 'example.com' );
```
You will need to fill in your FTP username, password, and host. After you add these details, you should be able to install plugins and themes through the WPMU DEV Dashboard.
