Integrating coursepress students with mailchimp

Hello,
I have just created an account with mailchimp with the intention to be able to set up emails taht can be automated and sent to my students who are subscribed in my coursepress courses. Is this possible, and how can I achieve this.
Thanks
M.

    Hello Miranda,

I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

The "CoursePress Pro" plugin currently doesn't include MailChimp integration though I agree that it would make a great feature. I have already moved this thread to our "Features and Feedback" forum where other WPMU DEV community members can give it a vote and if it gets more support our developers may consider adding it to one of the future releases.

That being said, I'm thinking of two workarounds that may work for you:

    1. If all the users of your site are actually students

You could make use of our "MailChimp Integration" plugin:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/mailchimp-newsletter-integration/

It would let you "preload" MailChimp subscription list with existing users of your WP site, automatically add new new users as MailChimp subscribers and keep both WP user list and MailChimp subscription list in sync.

    2. If only some users are students

This would be a bit more complex but could do the trick. You could make use of our Membership 2 Pro plugin which includes MailChimp integration module. The plugin could be used to "force" all students to signup for a membership (it could be free one if they already paid for courses or courses are free to join) in order to be able to see courses content. Then Membership 2 Pro plugin would take care of MailChimp synchronization:

Another option would be to create a custom integration but that would require custom coding which is beyond the scope of this support forum so you may want to ask for it at our "Jobs & Pros" job board (please note: no WPMU DEV staff members involved!) here:

    Best regards,
