interlacing usage with graphics

i'm exporting some graphics out of photoshop to use on a wordpress site. Is interlacing recommended?

    Hey again Corn,

Busy with images today I see :p

Interlacing refers to the way it loads the image. You have probably seen an image that loads top to bottom? It looks like lines are filling in from top to bottom until it's complete. That's without interlacing.

With interlacing, it won't load in order like that, it will load every 5th line, then 4th, then 3rd etc. until the image is complete. This way you get a low quality image right away and it slowly fills in.

Anyone who has a decent internet speed likely won't notice the difference between them because it will load so fast anyway

So, knowing that, it is up to you - whether you want it low top to bottom fully, or load a low quality version first and fill in. As mentioned, most users will never see the difference.

    Hope this helps!

    All the best,
    Tyler
