internal server error when creating new site in Wordpress Mutlisite

Hi

I have followd the Wordpress Multipress Setup by the T but i am getting an Internal Server Error after setting up a new site on subdomain "test.youser.com" in my Network Admin Dashboard.

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@test.youser.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at test.youser.com Port 80

In your Guide here : https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-manual-2/creating-a-network-to-enable-wordpress-multisite/

You say that : define('MULTISITE', true);

from

define('WP_DEBUG', false);
define('MULTISITE', true);
define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', true);
$base = '/';
define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'youser.com');
define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/');
define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);
define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);

needs to be deleted in wp-config after setup is complete.

Is that right ? can you confirm that ?

One thing i noticed when i set the network up is that i did not get to the screen where i get to choose between subdomain or sub directory but i got straight to the screen with the codes for the wp-config and the .htaccess file.

can that one line of code : define('MULTISITE', true);

be responsible for this ?

    Greetings corrado_izzo,

    Sorry to see that you are having issues with your MultiSite installation.

    define('MULTISITE', true);

    needs to be deleted in wp-config after setup is complete.

    Is that right ? can you confirm that ?

    Who said that or rather where does it say that?

    I have never heard of removing define('MULTISITE', true); after installation and I have literally setup hundreds of MultiSite networks to date.

    UPDATE: I see where they say it in the link you gave above but they are referring to the one added just above the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ that you manually inserted earlier and NOT the one in the following lines which must remain:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);
    define('MULTISITE', true);
    define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', true);
    $base = '/';
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'youser.com');
    define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/');
    define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);
    define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1);

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe
