Is there away to extend the registration form using membership?

Is there a newer version of the membership plugin that allows you to extend the registration form?

I am using the Genesis Child Theme 1.9.2 (latest version) and Buddypress 1.7 is not activating when installed.

I also have gone through the process of elimination with the plugins to see if there are any conflicts, but nothing.

There is currently no way to modify/extend registration form through the Membership plugin here at WPMU Dev. FEATURE REQUEST!

Are you on a buddypress website? If you are, there are many options for you here.

    http://www.gravityforms.com/add-ons/

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields-type/

If not, I don't have any personal experience, but it's worth a shot doing some searches. After a few minutes, here's what I found -

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/simplr-registration-form/

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/cimy-user-extra-fields/

And the other option that is always there, is digging deep into code, which I would not be able to help you with and I personally do not recommend you doing (unless you are experienced in that area).

I have marked this issue as resolved, but if it is not - simply, write another post and check the Not Resolved option at the bottom before clicking "Send Post" button!

    Hope this helped!

    Hello @tnewby

Greetings and thanks for posting on the forums.

Its not possible out of the box but Membership plugin integrates well with BuddyPress for the registration purpose. You can use BuddyPress extended profiles to create a registration form with as many fields as you like.

I am using the Genesis Child Theme 1.9.2 (latest version) and Buddypress 1.7 is not activating when installed.

I have not tested BuddyPress with Genesis yet, but did you try the default WordPress 2012 theme with latest version of Membership plugin to see if that works ?

    Please advise.

    Cheers
