Issues with pulling images or resources from root multisite

I have an issue that recently started happening. I am using the domain mapping feature and have never had issues with pulling images or resources from root multi site before.

this is in particular revolution slider svg image is not loading.

a few weeks ago I started getting this message.

in the browser console I see this

“access to xmlhttprequest at XXXX. from origin XXXX has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘access-control-allow-origin’ header is present on the requested resource”

I have traced an answer to the htaccess file by adding script

<IfModule mod_headers.c>

<FilesMatch “.(ttf|ttc|otf|eot|woff|font.css|css|js|gif|png|jpe?g|svg|svgz|ico|webp)$”>

Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin “*”

</FilesMatch>

</IfModule>

but it seems its being appended right again by another header script underneith

I can also see it says its Hummingbird that is blocking the request header at the root multisite for domain mapped

    Hi Mr Right Now,

    I could notice the anomalies regarding this in your site. Seems like support access to your site is disabled, so wasn’t able to give a closer look an how the multisite is configured in general. Could you please either enable support access, or send us your website credentials, so that we could give a closer look.
