I've been creating a course on Coursepress and I'd like

I’ve been creating a course on Coursepress and I’d like to export it to import to a different site. I don’t see an obvious way to do it, but presumably it’s possible, otherwise it’s a lot of work put into something which can’t be moved or even backed up very easily.

Can you help?

    Hi there @colin

    I hope you’re well today!

You can indeed export your courses using the built-in WordPress tools under Tools > Export/Import in your admin.

First, be sure CoursePress is activated & configured on the site where you want to import.

Then go to Tools > Export on the site where you have created your course. If you don’t want to export all the site content, you’ll need to export the following 7 content types one-by-one:

    Courses

    Units

    Modules

    Certificate Templates

    Module Responses

    Notifications

    Discussions

Then, on your destination site, use the WordPress Import tool under Tools > Import to import those saved XML files into that site, again one-by-one.

You should then see your courses nicely set up on the destination site.

I hope this helps! And thanks for being a member
