Hello

I've recently installed The Q&A plugin, however when going to Comms4business.com/questions it redirects to comms4business.com/pricing

I've checked .htacess and theres no redirect rules

I've re-saved the permalinks setting too.

Also is it possible to change the URL of the questions page?

Thanks

Hitesh

    Hello @Hitesh

    Welcome to WPMU community!

    I hope you are well today and thanks for asking the question.

    I can see the question page, please check screenshot.

    Would you please go to Questions > Settings > and check capabilities for the role you are testing?

    To change the url slug, you need to define constant in wp-config.php file:

    define( 'QA_SLUG_ROOT','questions' );
    define( 'QA_SLUG_ASK', 'ask' );
    define( 'QA_SLUG_EDIT', 'edit' );
    define( 'QA_SLUG_UNANSWERED', 'unanswered' );
    define( 'QA_SLUG_TAGS', 'tags' );
    define( 'QA_SLUG_CATEGORIES', 'categories' );
    define( 'QA_SLUG_USER', 'user' );

    Just change the slug here.

    Hope it helps :slight_smile: Please feel free to ask more question if you have.

    Cheers

    Hello @Hitesh

    You can't edit those pages within wordpress admin section as these pages are dynamic/virtual.

    But you can assign page template. Please go to /wp-content/plugins/qa/default-templates/ folder where you will see the template files for the pages. You need to use those files inside your theme and modify according to your theme's layout (page.php or single.php)

    Hope it helps :slight_smile: Please feel free to ask more question if you have.

    Hello Hitesh

    For questions page => archive-question.php
    For single question => single-question.php

    You need to just copy these files from plugins to themes folder. Then you need to open the template file from your theme that you like. Then merge then. I am not sure how I can explain it!

    1. Okay, create a file inside your theme called archive-question.php.
    2. Open the file in an editor
    3. Open the template file you like to use and copy all code.
    4. Paste the code in archive-question.php
    5. Open the file /wp-content/plugins/qa/default-templates/archive-question.php
    6. Get the code from there and use that in the new created archive-question.php file in your theme.

    Otherwise, give me code of these two files in http://pastebin.com I will try to merge and give back to you.

    Cheers
    Ash
