Jobs & Experts front end modify

Hi there!

I would like to add 'http://' in front end company form (1.png) in order to avoid the error message (2.png). Which is the php files where I can add 'http://'?

Also, when I try to upload images or files for extra information field the pop up windows doesn't work properly. For each file I've to open it 2 times.

Moreover, is it possible to have a preview for the uploaded images in extra information field?

Thanks a lot

Cheers,

Marco

    Hello Marco,

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    We usually do not recommend making changes to the plugin’s source code as this may lead to some unexpected issues that may later be difficult to diagnose and there’s also nearly 100% chance that those changes would be lost upon plugin update.

    I checked plugin’s code against any actions/filters that I could hook to in order to change this value but it seems that either there are none or I’m missing something. As I’m not a plugin’s developer I think it will be best if I include @hoang Ngo here and hopefully he’ll be able to give us a tip on this.

    That said, please keep an eye on this thread for further information.

    Best regards,

    Hi @adam,

    the main problem for me is the URL error, I can work with php and I just need to add ‘http://’ as prefilled field, or add in the description “include http://

    Please let me know which is the php file where I can find this field or if I can add it by CSS.

    Cheers,

    Marco

    Hello Marco!

    I checked the plugin’s code but it seems there’s no “template” file for form or any file that would contain an “explicit” form code. Also, as this form is created dynamically, simple JS snippets doesn’t work well here. That said, let me ask our 2nd-line support for help here and hopefully they’ll be able to lend us a hand on this.

    Please keep an eye on this thread for further information and updates!

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Hi Marco,

    In /wp-content/plugins/jobs-plus/framework/vendors/gump.class.php on line 467 you can replace this line:

    $resp[$field_key] = "The <span class="$field_class">$field</span> field is required to be a valid URL";

    With the one below and change the notificaiton message:

    $resp[$field_key] = "The <span class="$field_class">$field</span> field requires http:// in URL";

    Best regards,

    Predrag

    Hi Marco,

    Ah, sorry I missed those, you are probably referring to these two:

    Also, when I try to upload images or files for extra information field the pop up windows doesn’t work properly. For each file I’ve to open it 2 times.

    I was unable to replicate this on my installation so if you could grant me support access to check this on your installation I would be happy to debug this further.

    Moreover, is it possible to have a preview for the uploaded images in extra information field?

    This is not currently possible but it does sound like something that could be done in future updates, so I would suggest opening new thread in features & feedback section so we can see how other users feel about adding this feature.

    Best regards,

    Predrag
