    Ouch, sorry that your customization got overwritten. Updating via ftp should avoid any issues like that if you merely overwrite the existing folder with the new files, but I think the auto-update deletes the existing folder first.

    I'll ask the developer to have a look at this to see how that might be resolved for the future.

    Actually, I forgot that the customization for this was in the plugin file until after I hit the upgrade button.

    The reason I wanted to mention the issue was first to to caution the other users, and second to raise the following question:

    If the auto-update deletes the folder before installing the new, then should there actually be an auto-update for plugins or themes that by design have folders containing customized files?

    But no complaints... The developers all do a terrific job.
