Levels of Affiliates, Membership and MarketPress

Dear Community,

Help needed as follows:

(1) Membership Plugin: Coupon Code & Invite Code:
Which file or where can I edit the words? Change the words "Coupon Code" and "Invite Code" to "Discount Code"?

(2) Subscription Types:
I have a three-level membership site. When a member registers for a FREE level through an affiliate link, will the same affiliate link go to Levels 1-3 automatically? Or does that member have to click the affiliate link again for each level?

(3) Affiliates & MarketPress:
One Store, Many Products:
I have a bookstore. An affiliate link is for the store only, eg. http://www.newbooks.com/?ref=aff007

3a. If a visit goes to http://www.newbooks.com/?ref=aff007, and click on a book, eg. http://www.books.com/book001 and purchase it. Will the affiliate link still work?

3b. An affiliate does not want to link to the whole store like http://www.newbooks.com/?ref=aff007. He wants to link to ONE book only, eg. book001. Can he have a referral link for that specific book? eg. http://www.books.com/book001/?ref=aff007

(4) Manual Payment Processors for Affiliates, Membership and MarketPress:
A manual payment gateway here , I mean there's just a simple page where the buyer fills in a few lines on how he will pay later. After that, the admin will confirm if the payment arrives. Then, the buyer can have access to the product or a membership area. Automatically, the commission is sent to the affiliate too.

Also, I am still waiting for the good news here:

Hello there @Victory, I hope you're well today!

    (1) Membership Plugin: Coupon Code & Invite Code:

You can change any wording you wish on any plugins you have installed on your site using the WordPress translation system.
You'll hve to do the following:

    • Step 1: go to your wp-config.php file. You'll see there a line like this:
      define('WPLANG', '');
      Change that line to this:
      define('WPLANG', 'en_US');
(That's of course provided that you only want to change a few phrases and not completely translate WordPress to another language).
    • Step 2: Install the Codestyling Localization plugin.
    • Step 3: Go from your dashboard to Tools->Localization.
    • Step 4: Pick your plugin. Press on the "Scan Now" button and then add the en_US language.
    • Step 5: Edit the language. You can now search for any text string you want and change it to whatever you need.
    • Step 6: Once you're finished changing text strings, press the "generate .mo" button on the top.
    • Step 7: Install the CodeStyling Localization Preserver plugin. This will prevent your changes from being lost each time you update a plugin or theme.

    It should be automatic.

    Yes.

Sure! They can simply add ?ref=aff007 to any valid URL ending in /

This may require some custom coding...
On which plugin exactly do you require a manual payment gateway?

    Cheers,
    Ari.

oopz.. I did not know that I made two same posts (maybe due to my internet problem which made me click the button twice.

    Here my 5th question.

    (5) Membership Access Level Rules:
I have several plugins for members to use.
If I drop Plugin X to Negative Rules in Level 1, Level 1 can not use the plugin.
BUT if I don't drop Plugin X to Negative or Positive Rules, can Level use the plugin automatically?

    Hi, Vi!

On your manual payment gateway question, you can do manual payments via MarketPress and Membership, but Affiliates does not yet have that option. I'm more than happy to throw up a feature request flag, though!

On question five - it depends on what that plugin does. Plugins that add widgets to the front end shouldn't need to be added to positive or negative rules, unless you've protected the sidebar those widgets appear in, for example. If whatever feature that plugin adds doesn't rely on something you've protected to display to users, it should be fine as it is.

If that's not quite clear enough, do you mind sharing what plugin you're adding, or the features you want members to have because of it?

    Thanks!
