Lightbox link sometimes does not work in live preview

I have been attempting to use the Lightbox link functionality so when you click onto an image, the Lightbox pops-up and displays the same image with a section of text underneath.

I have set these up through the Link functionality on an image, chosen a colour scheme then dragged element into the Lightbox as described to me in the following ticket:

https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/unable-to-customise-a-lightbox#post-1189914

However, once I have Updated the page attempting to view the Lightbox in a live preview doesn't always work.
I have 6 Lightboxes set up, in as far as I can tell the exact same way, and 2 of them do not do anything once you click on them.

Please can you advise?

Thank You.

    Hi Peter Rowlands,

This is really weird and should not happen. I tried to regenerate this on my test site but I could not. All lightboxes are showing fine when I'm publishing those pages/posts.

However, I could tell you better about the issue if I could see it live, check your current configuration and make some tests on your site. Would you mind allowing Support Access so we can have a closer look at this? And please provide screenshot of the lightboxes you are having trouble with so we understand exactly which image to check, and also mention on which page we can check those lightboxes, that will really facilitate the troubleshooting process.

To enable support access you can follow this guide here:
    http://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/wpmu-dev-dashboard-enabling-staff-login/

Please send us as much details as you can. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and resolving this issue as soon as possible.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!

    Hi Peter Rowlands,

Hope you are doing good today.

Just to be sure, are you using Upfront Builder, or the Upfront Editor to edit your themes? I'm asking this because this thread is posted under Upfront Builder, and when I try to load the Upfront Builder in your website, the builder doesn't load, and I was able to notice JS error in the console. However, the website loads fine through Upfront Editor, could you please confirm this, so that it would be helpful in troubleshooting this issue further.

Upfront Builder, is loaded from the dashboard, under Upfront > Builder, while a Upfront Editor is loaded from the front end, as seen in the screenshot below:

When trying to load the Upfront Builder, I'm getting the following error, as seen in the screenshot below:

I have temporarily disabled Hummingbirds minification feature, minification should be enabled only when you have finished with developing your website. I'm pinging the developer regarding this issue with the Upfront Builder, so that he could give a closer look. Will keep you posted, once I get an update asap. Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Peter Rowlands,

Apologies, yes I'm using the Upfront Editor to edit the Fixer theme.

Thanks for making that clear. Since you aren't using Builder, just letting you know why Upfront Builder didn't work there. The Builder is loading in http instead of https. This will be corrected in the next release of Upfront, as a workaround, in the browser url you can change the link from http to https by manually typing it, and hitting enter should load the Builder

Regarding the light box page, ie /about/the-team/ page, I checked, and could see the issue. This seems to be an issue related to the lightbox name you created ie:Joe O'really, the single quote in that name is causing a conflict. I have reported this as a bug, and have already brought this is in attention to the developer.

Could you please try deleting the existing image element, and create a new one, and make sure to create a new lightbox without single quote, and check whether it works.

Please let us know how that goes, so that we could give a closer look, if needed. Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
