Limiting access after a certain number of views and other questions

Hello, we're a newspaper and would like to have some specific functionality. Is there a shortcode or widget for adding subscribers? Is there a way to force an access level to change after viewing a set number of stories? I'm also having an issue with some of the excerpts/images on the home page being blocked for visitors.

thanks for posting. & welcome to the community.

Unfortunately, that's not possible with the membership plugin.

you could probably get some of the functionality by using the pay-per-view plugin. but that would be on a per article basis.

there's no shortcode or widget for adding subscribers, members would have to register using the membership registration page.

you can disable WP registrations in Dashboard > settings > general

    * Anyone can register - Check this checkbox if you want anyone in cyberspace to be able to register an account on your blog.
    * Users must be registered and logged in to comment - If this checkbox is checked, only logged in registered users will be able to write comments on your site.

then people can still use membership registration & be subscribed.

    hope this helps.
