Local install & WPMU Dev dashboard

Can I assign my local WP install as a recognized site into the WPMU Dev dashboard? It doesn't seem to work for me.

    I have installed the WPMU DEV dashboard locally;
    I invoke your dashboard from the network menu;
    I click on My Websites
    I click the Add a Website button
    A dialog box with 2 round graphics appears
    I am asked to download the wpmu dev dashboard;
    I click I already have it;
    The Install & Activate option only provides a Finish Setup button;
    When I click it, the message response is:
    We could not find your new website ...

    That's it. I'm lost.

    Hello Steve!

    Local sites are not accessible for The Hub. The communication goes in this case from the "WPMU DEV Dahsboard" to the The Hub (your WPMU DEV account dashboard online).

    There's however no need to use "Add a website" button. All you need to do is install and activate the "WPMU DEV Dashboard" plugin on a site that you wish to add and login to your WPMU DEV account via the plugin (on a site's admin dashboard). The site will automatically be added to your account.

    So, if the WPMU DEV Dashboard is up and running on your site and you are logged in you should be fine with no need for any further steps. From this point you should be able to install our plugins and themes via "WPMU DEV -> Plugins" page and "WPMU DEV -> Themes" page in your site's dashboard (when logged in as an admin or in case of Multisite as a super-admin).

    If I'm missing anything here let me know please.
