login loop

On the main domain, I cannot select the "customize" option on the themes tab (for any theme) without being served with a session time out login screen. When I log in, it just repeats.

I've tried entering from a url as well as the network admin and get the same results.

    Greetings Conhost,

    Sorry to see that you are having an issue with your WordPress installation

    My educated guess is that it is an htaccess file issue or possibly permalinks.

    With that said check your htaccess file and see if it looks like this one:

    # BEGIN WordPress
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^wp-admin$ wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]
    RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $1 [L]
    RewriteRule ^(.*\.php)$ $1 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

    # END WordPress

    If not then copy the htaccess file to your computer and make another with that coding instead.

    If it does currently match, please reset your permalinks to anything but default, preferably /%postname%/ and if already set to anything but NOT default and that is the way you want it simply click save changes and that will reset them.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Cheers, Joe

    Here is the htaccess I was using....at first it wasn't working and I had to surf google for answers, found this

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    <Files async-upload.php>
    SecFilterEngine Off
    SecFilterScanPOST Off
    </Files>
    </IfModule>

    # ALL OTHER CHANGES SHOULD GO HERE

    # BEGIN WORDPRESS
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /

    #uploaded files
    RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
    RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-content/blogs.php?file=$2 [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
    RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule . - [L]
    RewriteRule  ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
    RewriteRule  ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    #END WORDPRESS

    Greetings Conhost,

    Thank you for letting me know and this appears to be a session or cookie issue and not a theme related issue but I am not sure.

    Therefore I will see if I can get the lead developer in here with his invaluable insight into this plugin for his advice/advise for us.

    Though this may take a bit longer then a normal ticket, I will try to get him in here asap.

    Cheers, Joe

    Hey @Conhost,

    If it happens with any theme activated, it is not related to this theme.

    Can you deactivate all your plugins and see if the redirect still happens?

    If that does not fix it can you supply me a URL, username and password to login to via our contact form and mark for my attention, I think this could be an issue specific your your WordPress install.
